August 18th ---------- Arrive and Travel to Arenal (Mountain Paradise)
From what I understand this is all taken care of the first day of the trip.
August 19th ---------- Raft Pacuare River (Mountain Paradise)
Today you will meet your guide in the lobby at 6am. Sorry for being so early but this is one of the top five rivers on the planet rated by National Geographic. It is called the Pacuare River. There are other rivers in the area but it is worth getting up early for the Pacaure. You will get to see some of the country during your drive. This is a full day tour and you will be rafting some of the best class IV rapids in Costa Rica. You will also be seeing without question some of the top scenery in the country as you raft for 4 hours down one of the most beautiful canyons in the tropics and see enormous waterfalls falling into the river. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)
August 20th ---------- Rappel & Zipline (Mountain Paradise)
Let the adventure continue as we take you down another beautiful canyon but this time not with a raft but a rope. The canyoneering is an adventure where you make you way down a canyon and when you come to the waterfalls that measure over 150ft you will have to rappel down. After the rappel get ready for another amazing adventure as you zip across the rainforest 700ft high with amazing views of the Arenal Volcano. If any of you decide not to do canyoneering your naturalist guide will take you to a beautiful reserve where you can hike and have a very interesting and picturesque introduction to the tropical rainforest. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)
August 21st ---------- Transfer to the Hotel Marriot Guanacaste (Marriot)
Today will be a travel day with beautiful scenery into the northern plains. (Meals: None)
August 22nd ---------- Beach Day! (Marriot)
Today is your day to do one of your water activities that you might be interested in or just relax at the beach. (Meals: None)
August 23rd ----------- Travel to Boriquen Resort (Marriot)
Today we will take you to the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano where you can enjoy the morning of relaxing in the thermal mud pools and hike to some beautiful waterfalls. In the early afternoon it will be back to the Marriot to enjoy your afternoon at the beach. (Meals: Lunch)
August 24th - 27th ----------- Beach Time at the Marriot (Marriot)
We will leave you at the Marriot after the tour on the 23rd. Enjoy the Beach!
