Martha Mader Taking on the Duckies
Day 2 ----- Raft in Duckies on Pejibaye River (Casa Turire Hotel)

Maders on a Waterfall Hike at Pacuare
Today is one of our favorite adventures. If you are up for stearing your own duckie (Duckie - we call small one or two man rafts) then you can have at it or a guide can go with you. We will be running the Pejibaye River which we call the baby Pacuare. It is a beautiful river and the best part is it ends at your hotel of Casa Turire. This is a great morning of fun in the river getting to experience the duckies. In the afternoon we will take you to a local village for one of the best meals you will have all week and a chance to see where Rus and Cat stayed for 3 weeks with the kids. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 3 ----- Raft Pacuare River & Travel to Arenal (Tabacon Resort)

Mader Kids at Another Waterfall in Pacuare
Today is rafting Pacuare. As you know it is one of the most scenic rivers on the planet. We will take our time and we like to plan the trip so we don't bump into any other companies so it feels like the river is yours for the day. We will get an early start and be close to the river and enjoy the fun of the Pacuare River. It will probably be running a little higher compared to when you were down last so you will get to enjoy a little different river which I know you will love. After the river we will make our way to the Arenal Volcano where you will be staying in the Tabacon Resort. This is a beautiful place and home to the best thermal springs in all of Costa Rica. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 4 ----- Zipline & Nature Reserve (Tabacon Resort)

I have to say I really enjoy the zipline you did but the one you will be doing today is by far my favorite. There are over 70 different ziplines in the country and this still is my favorite. Not only for the amazing views of the volcano and lake but also because the cables get up to 1km long and the best part is they get 700ft high. After the zipline we are going to take a short nature hike where you will get a chance to see some of Costa Rica's most picturesque critters. Different species of colorful frogs, sloths, birds, agoutis, and much more. This is a short shaded hike in a place that everyone enjoys seeing it all in one spot. In the evening it is time to relax in the thermal waters. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 5 ----- Canyoneering (Tabacon Resort)

One of the more common adventures in Costa Rica lately has been canyoneering. With so many tropical canyons on rough terrain it is no wonder the canyoneering adventures have become so much fun for everyone. The canyon you will be hiking, hopping, and rappeling down has 2 different waterfalls that measure 150ft each along with a number of smaller waterfalls. This is a great half day adventure and a chance to be completely submersed in the jungle. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 6 ----- Travel to Manuel Antonio (Arenas del Mar)

Say goodbye to the beautiful volcano of Arenal as we will make our way to the Manuel Antonio beach. This is one of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches and you will be staying in what is one of my favorite places in all of Costa Rica, the Arenas del Mar. The view, rooms, and service is excellent. Today will be a travel day and you will have time to visit the beach upon arrival. (Meals: Breakfast)

Surfing Manuel Antonio
Day 7 ----- Surf Lessons (Arenas del Mar)

Let the surfing begin! You will start today with a morning surf class and have all afternoon to perfect your skills. This is a full beach day and you can come and go from the hotel or just veg in the sand all day. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 8 ----- Surf Lessons (Arenas del Mar)

Another day of surf classes as you perfect your skills and get ready to sign a Quicksilver contract. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 9 ----- Surf more and drive to San Jose in afternoon (Grano de Oro)

Today you will not have classes but you will have the chance to get some boards and enjoy the beach before we head back to San Jose to be close to the airport. Your hotel in San Jose is the Grano de Oro which also happens to be one of my favorite hotels. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 10 ---- Fly Home!

Today you will be flying out of the San Jose airport. (Meals: Breakfast)
