Laura Day Sample Itinerary

Day 1 ------ Arrive and Drive to Casa Turire (Casa Turire Hotel)

Today your private guide will meet you outside the airport and take you to your first hotel. The name is Casa Turire and it is located on a lake in a beautiful setting with views of the Turrialba Volcano. (Meals: None)

Day 2 ------ Raft Pacuare River and Drive to Arenal Hotel (Arenal Hotel)

Hold on Laura!!!
Today you will make the short drive to the Pacuare River. This is one of National Geographics top 5 scenic rivers on the planet. The river is filled with waterfall, canyons, and crystal clear water on your 4 hour rafting trip. The rapids are class III & IV and during April it is running a bit low so it will not be too rough. After the rafting adventure we will make our way to one of the ten most active volcanos on Earth. The Arenal Volcano is the perfect cone-shaped volcano that has lava pouring down it's side. You will have a great view of the volcano from your hotel room. Dinner will be at the hotel as we will be arriving late after the day of rafting. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 3 ------ Zipline & La Fortuna Falls (Arenal Hotel)

If the rafting was not enough adventure than today should do the trick. We will be doing one of Costa Rica's best ziplines. The views of the active volcano are unmatched and the cables go through the rainforest. After the zipline we will make our way to La Fortuna Falls which is one of Costa Rica's most beautiful waterfalls. It is a bit of a hike but well worth the swim hole at the bottom. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 4 ------ Canyoneering & HotSprings (Arenal Hotel)

Canyoneering (Could be you Laura!)
Today we will do an adventure called canyoneering which a hike, climb, and rappel through a canyon in the rainforest. When you arrive to the 150 ft waterfalls in the canyon you get hooked up and then rappel down. This is an adventure for all ages (almost all ages) and great fun if your looking to get wet, see the jungle, and feel some adrenaline. After the canyoneering it is time to relax after the three days of adventure. We will make our way to the hotsprings where you can soak in the thermal waters and enjoy an excellent meal. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 5 ------ Drive to Manuel Antonio (Arenas del Mar)

Hiking with your Naturalist Guide
Today we will make the drive to the Central Pacific and our final destination will be one of Costa Rica's finest beaches and nicest hotels. The hotel you will be staying at is a real treat and is called Arenas del Mar. You are located infront of Costa Rica's most pristine beach and you hear the waves crashing all night as you sleep and being on the Pacific enjoy the sunsets. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 6 ------ Visit National Park (Arenas del Mar)

Manuel Antonio Beach
Visit the National Park Manuel Antonio. If you want to see some monkeys, sloths, and more monkeys than this is the place to make it happen. We will spend the morning hiking through the jungle and park with your nature guide and then it opens up to the protected beach of the park where you can just sit and relax and enjoy the water. The Pacific water in Costa Rica is nice and warm not like California which is a bit chilly. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 7 ------ Relax at the Beach (Arenas del Mar)

Today is your day to relax. You can enjoy the pool at the hotel or just sit in the sand at the beach.

Day 8 ------ Fly Home!
